Pink Lake is a lake on Middle Island in Western Australia.It is also named as “Hiller lake”.
Western Australia is a place of extraordinary “Pink Lakes”.
When we see it looks like a pink bubble gum.
This is about 600 meters long.
It is not much clear that why its color is pink but Scientists believe that pink color is due to a dye that is created by bacteria living in the salt.
Pin lake is surrounded by rim of sand , woodland of paperbark and Eucalyptus trees .Pink color is permanent for this lake.
This lake is visited first time by Flinders expedition in 1802.
Another important thing about this lake is that it supports a large number of birds .It has been identified by Bird life International as an Important Bird Area.
